When We Can Come
Timing questions come up first, so here's the short version.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Genuinely, yes. No answering machine, no overseas call centre. Just someone local picking up the phone at 2am the same as 2pm.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
We do. Blockages don't check a calendar. So Saturday, Sunday and public holiday callouts run on the same same-day basis as any weekday.
What happens after I call?
You'll describe the problem, we'll ask a few questions to gauge how urgent it is, and a time gets locked in. The plumber checks the actual cause first and explains it before touching anything.
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage coming back up inside the house, a single toilet that's blocked with no other one to use, or water rising through a gully mid-storm. Treat any of those as urgent and call straight away.

Pricing, Straight Up
Money questions, answered without the vague language some plumbers hide behind.
How does your pricing work for drain jobs?
We assess the job, then quote one figure that covers the whole fix. Nothing runs by the hour, so the amount you're told at the start is what lands on the invoice.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. It's a $0 call-out fee, so you're only ever paying for the fix itself, not for the visit that diagnoses it.
What does "$65 off your first service" cover?
New customers save $65 on whatever job we do first, straight off the quoted total. It's a one-time thing for a first booking, not tied to any particular service.
Can the price change once you start?
Only if the scope changes, and even then we pause and check with you rather than pressing on. Barring that, the price you're quoted at the start is the price you pay.

Drains Around Five Dock
The questions that need actual local knowledge to answer properly.
Why do older Five Dock homes keep getting blockages?
A big share of the housing stock here is Federation-era, built before 1940 on the original earthenware drainage. Those joints have had a century to perish, which is what lets roots and debris in, and why the same address can keep coming up on our books.
Why does my drain block again after heavy rain?
Some of the lower riverfront streets carry a real winter storm surcharge risk, where the stormwater system fills faster than it can drain. That backs water up through fittings that are otherwise perfectly fine the rest of the year.
How local are you, really?
Streets like Coronation Avenue and the pocket around Halliday Park are part of our regular run, most weeks of the year. That means a plumber turning up already knows the housing stock and the common causes before the van is parked.
What suburbs do you service?
Alongside Five Dock itself, we're regularly in Abbotsford, Drummoyne, Cabarita, Haberfield and Mortlake. Each has its own page with the detail: Abbotsford, Drummoyne, Cabarita, Haberfield, Mortlake.

Licensed, Insured and Guaranteed
The paperwork side, covered plainly.
What does the lifetime labour warranty cover?
It covers our workmanship, for life. If a fix we've done ever fails, we come back and put it right at no extra cost.
Who actually turns up?
Someone from our own small crew, never a subcontractor. The director still takes jobs himself, and one team member deals almost exclusively with the harder drain and sewer calls.
How experienced are you with drains?
15+ years' experience on Sydney's drains and sewers, across everything from pre-1940 earthenware runs to newer apartment stock.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes, quality workmanship guaranteed on every job. It gets tested on the spot, so a problem shows up while we're still there, not weeks later.
